Fulgor Milano is a trademark of Meneghetti S.p.A., a privately held Italian company founded in 1949. Its US arm, Fulgor USA, was set up in 2008 and sells through a small number of premium distributors, so these cooktops are less common than the big domestic brands and fewer technicians know them well. The brand is best known for gas-on-glass, a design it pioneered in the early 1990s, with sealed gas burners mounted on a glass surface. It also offers electric and induction cooktops. Fulgor's glass surfaces reward gentle cleaning. Use a non-abrasive cleaner, wipe spills once the glass cools, and keep the electrodes dry after cooking. Coastal owners should inspect ignition parts more often. Inland owners should focus on dust in burner ports and the cabinet air path. Anyone with a vacation home should test every burner on arrival, because spiders and debris collect in the burner air intakes during long idle stretches.
