Radiant and coil elements: stuck on high or dead
Symptom: A glass zone heats only on high, a zone stays cold, or a coil burner arcs at its socket. Cause: A failed infinite switch, often after spills, an open element, or a burnt coil receptacle. Fix: Test and replace the switch, element or receptacle. Keep liquids away from the knobs to protect the switches.
F40 or F41: cooktop lockout on electronic models
