LG Dryer Repair Across San Diego County
LG sells several very different dryers under one badge: vented electric and gas front-loaders, TurboSteam models, hybrid condensing heat-pump units and the stacked WashTower. Airflow: D75, D80, D90, D95 and F0
Symptom: D codes show exhaust blockage from 75 to 95 percent; F0 means the lint filter is not seated. Cause: Lint in the duct, a crushed or kinked hose, a blocked hood, or a filter left out after cleaning. Fix: Seat the filter. For D codes, clean the full vent run and hood and replace crushed foil with metal duct. Pet hair and dusty inland air shorten the interval.
Heat: nP (electric) and GAS (gas)
Symptom: nP means no current at the heater; GAS means no gas detected. The drum turns either way. Cause: Electric: one 240 V breaker leg tripped, open element, thermal fuse or loose terminal block. Gas: closed supply valve, kinked line, igniter or valve coils. Fix: Reset the breaker for 10 seconds or open the gas valve. Otherwise we test and replace components. Gas smell means leave the home and call SDG&E.
Sensors and power: tE1 to tE3, HS, PS, PF
Symptom: tE is a thermistor error, HS a humidity sensor error, PS a voltage or wiring fault, PF a power failure. Cause: Failed thermistor or poor airflow; coated sensor bars; reversed white and red wires at the terminal block; an outage or sag. Fix: Unplug, hold Start 5 seconds and retry. Clean sensor bars. We correct terminal wiring and replace failed sensors.
Model-specific: E13, Add, dE and drum noise
Symptom: E13 on hybrid condensing units is a drain hose fault; Add asks for steam water; dE means the door is not closed; noise points to drum supports. Cause: Kinked or blocked condensate drain; empty steam drawer; worn door latch; worn rollers, idler, belt or glides. Fix: We clear the condensate path, check the steam supply, replace the latch or the roller kit as needed.

What is Flow Sense and why does it keep warning me?
Flow Sense is LG's duct-restriction monitor. It estimates how blocked the exhaust is and shows D75 through D95 for 75 to 95 percent restriction. Repeated codes mean the duct, hose or hood is restricted. Cleaning the lint filter alone won't clear them if the blockage is farther along.
Do heat-pump LG dryers need a vent?
Hybrid condensing heat-pump models condense moisture and drain it rather than venting hot air outside. That makes the condensate drain the item to watch, and an E13 code points to a drain hose problem. They still need the lint filter cleaned every load.
