On some 2017-2019 touch-control models, elements turning on by themselves was a recall defect. Fix: Check the recall first. Otherwise we replace the element, switch or control board.

Symptom: Zone flashes, shuts off, or the panel reads Lock or Loc. Cause: Non-magnetic cookware, overheated board from blocked ventilation, a failed fan, or control lock turned on. Fix: Release the lock and verify cookware. Then we clean or replace the fan and test the generator board.
